Biagio

Biagio is the historic table lamp designed by Tobia Scarpa for Flos. The lamp is made from a single block carved out of white Carrara marble, modeled to obtain soft and sinuous lines. Weighing over 7 kg, it is an important luminous object out of the ordinary. Inspired by the expressive potential of precious marble, the sculptural lamp stands out for its anthropomorphic forms. The smooth surfaces of the marble stand out and shine in the daylight, changing effect when the light source inside is turned on, and making the boundary between lamp and ornamental object extremely blurred. The designs and natural veins of the marble are unique and change for each specimen, making this lamp a unique piece of craftsmanship.
