Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, the Wishbone Chair is today crafted to his exacting standards by Carl Hansen & Søn. With its steam-bent top rail and wonderfully sculptural shape, the lightweight Wishbone Chair allows for freedom of movement and superior comfort, making it an ideal piece for both workspaces and relax moments. The chair's distinctive Y-shaped detail gives the chair its name and also provides extreme support and stability. It takes about an hour to only create the hand-woven seat by skilled craftsmen, the seat is beautifully woven with 120 meters of natural paper cord, whose extraordinary durability and stability makes the chair strong and durable for up to 50 years. Over time, the Wishbone Chair has been recognized as the ideal chair, capturing the essence of modern Danish design.
