Designed by Marco Zanuso in 1947 and awarded the gold medal in 1948 at the Milan Triennale, the Maggiolina armchair is an authentic icon of the Zanotta catalog. Starting from a hypothesis of an economical and removable armchair, it was designed for a competition held by the MoMA of New York. Characterized by a sinuous and enveloping structure in curved tubular steel, it suggests at first glance the idea of ​​comfort thanks to the welcoming shell with soft padding and the soft leather upholstery. The 18/8 stainless steel tubular structure, envisaged in the original design only in the chromed version, is now proposed in the two new powder blue and black paint finishes: a chromatic update that renews this timeless classic making it even more current.
