AB001 Rocking Nest Chair | Soaped Oak

The AB001 rocking chair created by Anker Bak best represents the minimalism of Danish design and the essence of craftsmanship. AB001 was born out of a real human need, Bak conceived this innovative design when her sister needed a comfortable place to relax with her newborn, creating a unique shape with excellent functionality. Clear in its construction and dynamic in its expression, the apparently floating rocking chair has a welcoming and organic silhouette. For Bak, a lover of nomadic life and fascinated by the ever-changing needs of society, the chair also had to be flexible and meet the constraints of urban spaces. To this end, the designer devised a mechanism that makes it easy to fold the chair in just a few steps.
