Designed in 1953, the D.153.1 armchair created by Gio Ponti as a furnishing accessory for his Milanese home, is part of the furnishings of the Gio Ponti Collection, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2012. The structure is in satin brass, the covering in two-tone leather or Rubelli “Dotted” fabric. The fabric, designed by Ponti in 1934, reinterprets the age-old velvet technique, updating it with contemporary patterns.
