Gio Ponti designed architecture and furnishings for the first Montecatini palace in Largo Donegani in Milan in 1935: desks, lamps, wardrobes and the Montecatini chair. In agreement with the Ponti heirs, Molteni & C reissued for the Gio Ponti Collection in 2012 the Montecatini D.235.1 chair, the all-aluminum version.
