The D.555.1 coffee table, designed by Gio Ponti in 1954-1955 for his home in Milan, has a metal structure and legs, with a hand-painted colored grid and a transparent glass top. Produced by Molteni & C on the basis of the original drawings kept in the Gio Ponti Archives, it completes the Gio Ponti Collection, a series of furnishings designed by the architect between 1935 and the 1950s.
