FH38 Chair | Oiled Oak

The Windsor chair was designed in 1938 by Danish architect and cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen. Produced continuously by Carl Hansen & Søn until 2003, it has now been re-edited to better suit the demands of modern comfort. Made of FSC™-certified solid oak through skilful craftsmanship combined with various carpentry techniques and sanded by hand, the high-backed chair fuses the design of a dining chair with that of a lounge chair. The clean lines of the Windsor chair give it a light expression thanks to the open spindle structure of the backrest and the gently curved armrests. Available with a leather seat cushion for added comfort. Each chair is unique and a distinct example of traditional craftsmanship perfected over centuries.
