High Chair K65 | Natural Birch

High Chair K65 with long legs by Alvar Aalto has an optimal height for high tables and bar counters. Its low back offers the right support for the back and its curved rail acts as the perfect footrest. Part of the L-leg collection was created from the original system of standardized components and High Chair K65 has, in this way, created a defined style since the 1930s. Alvar Aalto described the L-leg as "the little sister of the architectural column" and his entry into the world of design heralded a break with long-standing traditions of furniture making. Patented by Aalto in 1933, this technique meant that the warm, organic qualities of wood could be used to create durable and stable designs. It can be used as a seat in the kitchen, giving the rooms an unmistakable style.
