MHC.1 is a re-edition of the prototype of the first modern piece of furniture made in the Molteni carpentry, the chest of drawers designed by Werner Blaser. It is part of the Heritage collection made up of re-editions taken from the historical archive of the company, but never went into production it was awarded the first prize at the First Selective Exhibition - Cantù International Furniture Competition in 1955, with a jury formed by Giò Ponti, Alvar Aalto, Carlo de Carli, Finn Juhl, Romano Barocchi. Made of honey-stained emien or black-stained ash with a triple fork system without screws, nails and glue and with three drawers strictly on wooden guides, as per the original prototype of 1955.
