Rival Chair | Black Birch

The Rival chair designed by Konstantin Grcic is the first chair by Artek with a swivel function, a project that is characterized by the use of ancient materials treated with contemporary technologies and methods. The material chosen could only be birch wood, a symbol of Artek and Finnish design: the solid wood used for the legs gives the wood a more fluid, almost plastic appearance, while the armrests, backrest and base in laminate take on an effect more traditional and industrial. Comfortable and sober, it is suitable for the home, office and public spaces. The upholstered seat is available in a choice of fabrics and colors.
