Table 81B | Natural Birch

Table 81B was created by Alvar Aalto in 1935, and is part of a series of tables of various shapes and sizes, extendable, with four or three legs, with round, semicircular or square tops. The 81B rectangular dining table, made of solid birch wood, features the revolutionary L-shaped leg, which Aalto called "the little sister of the architectural column" and which solved the problem of fixing the legs directly to the table top, or of the chair, forming a very solid and stable structure.
