The Wassily armchair designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer while he was still a student of the Bauhaus, is among the most famous projects of the 20th century, and is considered the masterpiece of the designer, who designed it for the house of the painter Kandinsky. Inspired by the frame of a bicycle, Breuer reduced the shape of the classic chair to the essential, eliminating the structural apparatus of the bulky armchairs of the time without losing comfort.
