Jean Nouvel's architectural approach led to the creation of the Graduate modular hanging bookcase, characterized by a linear, simple and light appearance. The secret is contained in the upper shelf in thick wood which is the only one to be fixed to the wall or ceiling and which contains a system of tie rods allowing to distribute the weight evenly along the entire surface of the bookcase. The thin steel rods are equipped with notches marked with numbers to be able to fix the shelves. The shelves are in plywood with external coating in natural or black anodized aluminum.
