Chiara is the iconic lamp designed by Mario Bellini in 1969, now re-edited by Flos thanks to its timeless style that has made it a cult object. Its unique shape, its dimensions and the light it diffuses make it still today a surprising lamp, whose project full of charisma and stage presence brings us back to a sculpture. It consists of a sheet of polished stainless steel cut to draw a particular silhouette and rolled on itself to form a cylinder as a base. The light source today is an LED and is located in the cylindrical part emitting light upwards, reflected and diffused thanks to the structure and orientation of the lampshade, which recalls the veil of a nun: "So I designed a light bulb in the shape of of a nun who lets the light out of her white hat ”. Refined and contemporary, Chiara is ideal for enhancing desks, bedside tables, shelves and coffee tables. The size changes but the elegance and beauty of its lighting remain. The small is available in aluminum, dark gray and rose gold variants. A colored molded rubber gasket is applied to the entire profile of the lamp body. A dimmer is mounted on the power cable for progressive adjustment of the light intensity.
