Galeotta | Convertible armchair | Yellow
The trasformaile Galeotta armchair embodies the principle of simple and functional design. Designed in 1968 by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, it was an innovative and disruptive project right from the start. Zanotta, in collaboration with designer Paolo Lomazzi, reissues the Galeotta armchair updated in materials and dimensions. A welcoming and dynamic design, Galeotta is transformed from an armchair to a chaise longue thanks to the folding cushions that allow it to be opened up, extending it to become a meridienne. Made entirely of polyurethane foam in differentiated densities, it has no support structure or internal mechanisms. It consists of three blocks with an irregular profile that allow three different configurations, for a seated or semi-reclined posture with two different inclinations of the backrest module. An informal and versatile armchair for different needs of comfort and space, ideal for the home as well as for contract and wellnes environments that has contributed to a profound change in the ways of living, deconstructing and revolutionising the concept of the traditional armchair to introduce different ways of sitting and living in the home.
