The Quaderna table, a project created in the late 1960s by Superstudio, is a real cult object, which Zanotta presented in 1970 and has been producing ever since. With its rigorous and geometric shapes, and its linear angles, the project is opposed to the curved and playful shapes, with flashy colors, which characterize the productions of that period. The Quaderna table is part of Radical Design, a movement that was born in Tuscany with the intention of revolutionizing the way architecture and design are done. Rejecting the formal and aesthetic values of modernism, eccentric and ironic objects are designed, both in the forms and in the message they want to convey, and innovative in their function of use. The table, made of honeycomb and covered with plastic laminate, is distinguished by the checkered pattern. Awarded by various awards, the table is now exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
